Sewage Treatment Plants

Design, supply, installation and maintenance of STPs from 10 to 5,000 m³/day, built by the team that introduced MBBR technology to the UAE in 2006.

Compliance By Design

Every plant we build is designed to satisfy the authority that will inspect it, agreed before a single tank is sized.

Compliance is not something we check at the end of a project. It is the starting point. Before design begins we agree the outlet standard your plant must meet, and we commission the plant against that standard.

We design and commission to Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Abu Dhabi DoE and ADSSC requirements, including treated water quality suitable for unrestricted reuse in irrigation and flushing.

Where Our Plants Are Installed

Labour accommodation, industrial sites, commercial buildings and remote locations with no sewer network connection.

Labour accommodation. Camps and staff accommodation where treatment has to be reliable and odour-free, and where site staff are not full-time plant operators. We design for low-intervention operation.

Industrial facilities. Factories treating domestic sewage alongside process effluent, often on sites with no municipal sewer connection.

Commercial and hospitality. Hotels, resorts and commercial buildings, including smaller capacity plants where footprint is tight and treated water is reused for landscaping.

Remote and off-network sites. Sites currently paying for tanker disposal. Treating on site removes most of that recurring cost.

Our Treatment Process

Predominantly MBBR, the technology Aaron Tech introduced to the UAE in 2006.

Aaron Tech, a spin-off of Global Engineering Systems, introduced MBBR to the UAE through a partnership with AnoxKaldnes, the original patent holder of the technology, later acquired by Veolia. Two decades on, it remains the process we build most.

MBBR gives higher treatment capacity in a smaller footprint than conventional activated sludge, tolerates variation in load, and is simpler for site staff to run day to day. Where an application calls for something else, we also design and build activated sludge, MBR, SBR and tertiary systems.
